Sammy’s Children’s Day ( 初三的六一儿童节) has officially confirmed its premiere for March 13, 2026. This highly anticipated series stars He Changxi and He Yanchao in a story that explores the thin line between survival and surrender. Set against the lawless backdrop of the Kowloon Walled City, this Sino-Thai co-production adapts the acclaimed web novel “Chusan’s Liuyi Children’s Day” (初三的六一儿童节) by She Xie Dian Dian (蛇蝎点点). It promises a mature, high-stakes narrative where triads, corruption, and a dangerous romance collide.
Survival in the Kowloon Walled City
The story centers on He Chu San, a quiet and rational college student who dreams of escaping the chaos of his crime-ridden neighborhood. However, his life takes a sharp turn when he meets Xia Liu Yi, a fierce and unpredictable triad deputy leader. Initially, Xia Liu Yi forces Chu San into obedience to act as a reluctant screenwriter for a money-laundering film studio.
The turning point occurs when Xia Liu Yi collapses at Chu San’s doorstep, bloodied and wounded. As they live together in secrecy, they move from reluctant allies to partners in revenge. In a lawless city balanced between black and white, their bond becomes a calculated gamble for survival.

Character Breakdown: The Strategist and the Enforcer

Editorial Correction
In our previous article titled “He Changxi and Andrew Jiang to Lead Live-Action Adaptation of ‘Liuyi Children’s Day’“ and in our social media post(embedded below), we incorrectly identified Andrew Jiang as a lead. Following official confirmation from GagaOOLala, we can now confirm that He Yanchao stars as the lead alongside He Changxi. We sincerely apologize for this error.
