During the DMD Land 3 event, Ohm Krit announced that he will officially star in “Magic Lover,” Domundi’s highly anticipated BL fantasy series. This news confirms that Ohm will still play his role in the project, putting to rest the doubts that surfaced over the past month. His personal confirmation from the stage immediately rekindled the fandom’s curiosity and provided much-needed certainty regarding his future with the production.
The Road to Recasting: Beyond the JimmyOhm Split
Initially, the series was presented with the pairing of Jimmy Karn and Ohm Thanakrit. However, as previously reported by BoysLove Insider, Mandee Work (Domundi) officially announced the conclusion of the JimmyOhm partnership on April 4, 2026. Both artists mutually agreed to end their journey as an onscreen pair to pursue different professional directions.
Following the split, Domundi announced that Magic Lover would be recast, leaving both the production’s future and Ohm’s role in the balance. Since then, many wondered if the actor would remain involved. Ohm answered that question directly from the stage today, personally confirming his presence in the series to reassure his supporters.
The Quest for a New Partner
While Ohm’s involvement is now certain, the biggest question remains: who will be his on-screen partner? Following the end of the JimmyOhm era—which began in 2024 through DMD Friendship the Reality: It Takes Two and peaked with their roles in The Next Prince—Domundi has yet to reveal which actor will join Ohm in this new adventure.
In his supportive farewell message earlier this month, Jimmy Karn expressed his hope that Ohm would find a partner who “can walk the same path together and complement each other in the best way possible”. Fans are now eagerly watching to see who will fill that role.
Plot: Magicians, Missions, and Animal Transformations
Magic Lover promises a unique blend of romance and chaos in perfect Domundi style. This fantasy romance follows three young magicians from an enchanted kingdom. The trio must descend into the human world with a high-stakes mission: find true love within thirty days.
The consequences of failure are permanent. If they cannot find their soulmates in time, they will be transformed into animals forever. The series explores themes of magic, destined encounters, and unpredictable love situations.
Current Official Cast
For now, the confirmed cast for the project includes:
- Ohm Krit

- Thomas / Kong
While the pilot filmed in 2025 featured the original lineup, the upcoming production will showcase significant changes to reflect the new casting directions. Boys Love Insider will continue to provide updates as Domundi reveals the remaining lead actors.
