A chaotic crowd situation at a major airport has left fans of the hit Chinese BL series Double Helix demanding immediate safety reforms from entertainment agencies. Terrifying video footage surfaced over the weekend showing lead actors Ayden Sng and Elio (Lu Sitong) being heavily swarmed by aggressive crowds of alleged stalker fans (sasaengs). The complete breakdown of crowd control caused both performers to lose their footing and fall directly onto the hard ground. Consequently, domestic and international fanbases are aggressively rallying behind the stars to demand stricter personal boundaries.
Footage Captures Aggressive Crowd Push and Protective Instincts
The viral videos document a rapidly expanding crowd rushing aggressively toward the two Mejoy Media artists as they attempted to navigate the terminal. Witnesses noted that individuals repeatedly pushed past airport staff to snap close-up photos and force physical interactions. The surrounding space became completely compromised within seconds, resulting in a dangerous crush that knocked both actors off their feet.
Disturbing clips from the scene show that Singaporean actor Ayden Sng immediately used his own body to shield co-star Lu Sitong during the fall. Specifically, Ayden wrapped his arms around Lu to protect his head from the incoming rush of feet and dropped luggage as the crowd continued to press forward. Therefore, while fans are praising Ayden’s protective actions, the core discussion remains fixed on the sheer danger of the situation.
Netizens Condemn Invasive Airport Culture and Lack of Artist Security
The alarming footage has sparked a massive wave of online condemnation across major social media applications. Viewers are criticizing the individuals involved for treating public figures as property rather than respecting basic human safety. Fan communities emphasize that commercial airports are functioning transport hubs rather than organized promotional events.
Furthermore, international fan collectives are actively petitioning Mejoy Media and local transit authorities to implement structural safety changes. Specifically, supporters argue that high-profile drama stars require dedicated security personnel to manage crowds during scheduled travel windows. The dangerous incident has thoroughly reignited structural industry debates regarding the toxic nature of obsessive stalker culture.
The Growing Global Footprint of the Double Helix Main Cast
The intense public reaction directly mirrors the skyrocketing popularity of the ongoing romantic series. Double Helix (双程) serves as a modern live-action remake of the classic cult romance A Round Trip to Love, adapted from the original novel by author Lan Lin.
The major project follows the turbulent, multi-year relationship between rebellious heir Lu Feng (played by Ayden Sng) and gentle student Cheng Yichen (played by Lu Sitong). The production has built massive momentum throughout its current 2026 broadcasting schedule via premium streaming channels like GagaOOLala and Viki. The explosive on-screen chemistry between the two lead stars has rapidly expanded their personal fanbases, making tighter logistical planning a critical necessity for their management teams moving forward.
Boys Love Insider will continue monitoring official statements from the actors’ agency regarding security updates and official health assessments following this airport incident.
