WeTV and Tailai Entertainment have released the first official character group photo for “NOUR The Series” (นูร์). This fantasy crime drama represents a total transformation of the project previously known as Akina The Series. With a completely revamped cast lineup and a fresh creative direction, the newly released promotional image has officially kicked off a highly anticipated era for fans.
A Necessary Rebranding and Creative Evolution
As we previously reported, the original project faced major logistical adjustments following the brave announcement by lead actor Boom Raveewit regarding his mental health hiatus. To protect his well-being and maintain production schedules, WeTV opted for a logistical recast.
However, instead of simply replacing the lead character, the production team decided to completely overhaul the project. They shifted the platform away from the “Top Form Universe” or the Dakaichi franchise. Consequently, they rebranded the official social media channels from Akina to NOUR, signaling a fresh narrative standalone identity.
The Intriguing Concept: Romance Amidst Arson
Despite the massive changes to the cast, the central, thrilling core of the narrative remains intact. NOUR The Series blends supernatural components with a tight crime investigation plot.
The story takes the audience deep into a mysterious city haunted by a terrifying series of unexplained arson cases. As the characters attempt to solve the supernatural mysteries behind the flames, intense psychological trauma and deep romantic elements naturally begin to collide.
Meet the Huge New Star-Studded Cast Lineup
The newly dropped character group photo officially showcases an incredible ensemble of established names and fresh talent. Moving forward, the series will feature a large main cast, including:
- Boss Patthakarn & TongTong Kitsakorn: Taking over the forefront of this revamped universe as the main pairing. Fandom excitement is particularly high for TongTong, who has previously appeared in beloved LGBTQ+ projects on One31 like To Sir, With Love and The Wicked Game. This series marks his exciting first official lead role in a dedicated Boys’ Love production.
- Toey Pongsakorn & Phoom Chawonwat: In an interesting twist for fans tracking production history, the popular ToeyPhoom secondary pairing remains intact from the previous iteration, anchoring the new narrative.
- The Main Ensemble: The series boasts an impressive supportive line-up, featuring Little Siravit, Anton Kruger, Ohm Nutthapoom, Namnung Van de ven, Kim Kanoklak, and Peanut Peeranat.
While WeTV and Tailai Entertainment have yet to lock down an official broadcasting premiere date, the arrival of this stunning group photo proves that production is moving full steam ahead. Boys Love Insider will provide further updates regarding character breakdowns and teaser trailers as this fiery mystery unfolds.
