True Film, the production house behind hits like Connect and Love Reset, has officially unveiled the poster for their latest project, Winter Fever. Starring rising actors Seo Jeong Hyeon and Kwak Geon Hee, the series promises a heavy, slow-burn romance that explores the fragile line between long-term friendship and obsessive love.
The Plot: A 15-Year Bond Shattered by Pity
Winter Fever follows the lives of Yu Jun (Seo Jeong Hyeon) and Yeon Ho (Kwak Geon Hee), who have been inseparable for fifteen years. However, their transition from friends to lovers takes a tragic turn when Yu Jun begins to doubt the sincerity of Yeon Ho’s feelings.
Yu Jun convinces himself that Yeon Ho stays with him out of pity, rather than true love. Seeing Yeon Ho’s “perfect” life, Yu Jun starts to view himself as a flaw that must be removed. In a resolute move to save Yeon Ho’s future, Yu Jun decides to break up and play the villain.
Consequently, the story spirals into a dark, emotional cycle:
- Yeon Ho’s Collapse: Having given his whole being to the relationship, Yeon Ho becomes powerless and desperate.
- Obsessive Desire: His love twists into a need for possession, prioritizing keeping Yu Jun close over his own happiness.
- The Third Party: Into this fracture steps Baek Hyeon Seo (Yoo Jin Seok), a gentle senior who subtly manipulates the situation to his advantage.
