Thai actor and T-Pop idol Por Suppakarn Jirachotikul has sent shockwaves through both the BL and K-Pop fandoms. In a recent revelation, the rising star shared that he was once offered a direct path to becoming a K-Pop trainee under one of South Korea’s “Big 3” entertainment giants—without even having to audition.
The “Once-in-a-Lifetime” Offer
During the early stages of his career, Por was active on the audition circuit when a Korean powerhouse reached out directly. “All I had to do was show up,” Por shared, reflecting on the weight of the offer. After researching the company, he realized it was one of the legendary “Big 3” (widely speculated by fans to be SM or YG Entertainment based on his striking visuals and hints from the interview).
Despite the allure of global K-Pop stardom, Por chose to decline. He admitted that his heart remained in Thailand, citing a desire to stay close to his home and pursue his career within the local industry.
Dominating the BL Industry with “Duang With You”
Fans are now celebrating that decision, as it led him to his career-defining role as Qin in the hit series Duang With You. Starring alongside his popular partner TeeTee Wanpichit, the series has become a massive success since its January 2026 premiere.
The “TeeTeePor” chemistry has not only won hearts but also dominated the recent BL GL Awards (February Edition), organized by Boys Love Insider Media Group. The results from the fan-choice awards on blglawards.com speak for themselves:
- Best BL Series (February): Duang With You (Winner)
- Best BL Actor (February): TeeTee Wanpichit (1st Place)
- Best BL Actor (February): Por Suppakarn (2nd Place)
From DVI to DEXX: A Journey of Talent
Por’s path to stardom has been a resilient one. Originally a member of the boy group DVI under 4nologue, he transitioned to Domundi (Mandee Work) after his former agency ceased music production in early 2024. In June 2025, he debuted as a core member of DEXX, Domundi’s first official boy group.
His acting journey began with a supporting role in Your Sky and the special Your Sky of Us, where he was first paired with TeeTee. Now, as one of the most famous faces in the 2026 BL landscape, Por’s journey proves that following your heart can lead to even greater heights than a “guaranteed” path to stardom.
