The upcoming live-action drama Prosecutors Proposal has officially confirmed Yoon Dogun and Park Siwoo as its main leads. Scheduled to premiere this June, the series is an adaptation of the popular web novel The Prosecutor’s Office’s Proposal (검사실의 제안) written by He Bok. The production moves away from traditional campus romance tropes to focus on a high-stakes, workplace crime drama. Streamer Wavve announced the project as part of its upcoming exclusive web drama distribution block for the second half of the year.
The Official Plot of the Prosecutors Proposal
The narrative centers on Lee Chae Ha, a young man who carries a heavy emotional burden. Specifically, he has spent his entire life living under the stigma of being the “son of a murderer.” Peer bullying and physical violence from his uncle eventually force him to quit his job as a police officer. Consequently, Chae Ha transitions to a new role as an eighth-grade public employee. He joins the Danhyeon District Office as an investigator. He enters the office entirely determined to adjust well and keep a low profile.

At his new workplace, Chae Ha crosses paths with Ju Tae Seon, a highly respected prosecutor. The two men actually share a critical past history. Prosecutor Ju previously stepped in to clear a false accusation that Chae Ha faced during his time in the police force. Initially, Chae Ha only observes Tae Seon from a distance. However, a major turning point occurs during a shared duty assignment. This incident prompts Prosecutor Ju to take a direct interest in Chae Ha. Tae Seon has spent years tracking a specific cold-case murder investigation. Therefore, he selects Chae Ha as his partner and proposes that he join his official office team.
A Closer Look at the Main Cast Members
The drama brings together two young actors who each possess unique industry backgrounds:
- Yoon Dogun as Ju Tae Seon: Dogun takes on the role of the authoritative and sharp prosecutor. Television viewers will recognize Dogun from his supporting work in Twenty-Five Twenty-One. Furthermore, he recently played a prominent main role in the youth political drama Running Mate.
- Park Siwoo as Lee Chae Ha: Siwoo portrays the resilient legal investigator. He initially entered the entertainment industry under his legal birth name, Park Jin Yeol. During that time, he appeared on survival programs Produce X 101 and Extreme Debut: Wild Idol. He officially debuted in May 2022 as a rapper and dancer for the K-Pop group BLANK2Y. Following the group’s quiet disbandment in late 2023, he signed with Aubemoon Studio to focus entirely on acting. He recently built up his acting profile with a supporting role in the series Thundercloud Rainstorm.
Director Yang Kyung-hee Behind the Adaptation
The production network hired veteran director Yang Kyung-hee to helm the project. Yang is an experienced industry figure who has previously directed notable titles within the genre. Specifically, her past portfolio includes The Time of Fever and Secret Relationships. Yang’s directing style routinely emphasizes close character focus and character-driven pacing. Therefore, she is a fitting choice to direct the complex, slow-burn office dynamic required for this specific novel adaptation.
